More time and summing it up.

It's that time of the week again! Time for Mama Kat's Writing Workshop.

This week there are some great prompts, including one inspired by a post yours truly.

So, I think I might do more than one.

First is "If you could cut back on something in your life that takes up your time, what would it be? And what would you prefer to spend that time doing?"

I would cut back on housework, specifically dishes. They are never-ending and the biggest mess-makers in my kitchen. Unfortunately, the other option is to use paper plates all the time and that's not very earth or budget-friendly. I would rather spend that time playing outside at the beach, or reading, or maybe reading blogs. Really anything but dishes.

My other prompt is based on this article in the St. Louis News-Dispatch. I'm summing up my past, present and future life in 45 words.

Kat was a well-loved mother, wife, sister and daughter. She spent her life caring about those around her and entertaining the world with her witty writing. Please join her family for a memorial service commemorating her incredible life. Details to be announced.

So there you have it. The bane of my existence (dishes) and how I'd like to be remembered.

Head on over to Mama Kat's for more of the fun.

Visiting from Mama Kats...

Yes...dishes are a pain in the behind. Every darn meal people expect to eat on dishes and they get dirty over and over and over and over. Seriously, we should just go back to eating with our hands on the ground.

dishes! haha....oh man, i wouldn't have guessed that. then again, i don't have any kids yet ;) i think for me it would be cleaning/feeding our cats - those things get into so much trouble!

I hate dishes too... I also hate laundry... I wish there was a laundry fairy... who looked like George Clooney...

Ohh I agree with Saundra, I hate laundry too, and if anyone finds that laundry fairy let me know!

My motto is, if you never cook, there is no dishes to do! Problem solved although I like the clooney fairy idea too

Well that all sounded completely normal. Your normal. Hmmm, I thought all Mama Kat's readers were a little whacky. It can't just be me, I refuse to believe that.

I'll swap dishes for laundry. Where do you live??

Yuck... I hate dishes! Couldn't they invent something to make doing them more fun? Like, I don't know... a bottle of dish soap that dispenses a $100 bill every time you use it? :)

Ooo, I like that idea. Money in the dish soap dispenser. I might be tempted to do dishes more often then.

Think your obit is wonderful and I like the "cliffhanger" to be sure to stay tuned for details on how to learn more about your incredible life after your passing....

Quite pleased your hatred of the dishes didn't make the obit cut!
Maybe in the later following details, "In lieu of flowers, Kat hopes you will donate to the Dishwashing Despisers of America Association....

Thanks for coming by my blog....
I'll be back to yours!

Dishes and Laundry are the most hated things I can think of! I told my mother when I was younger that I will only eat on paper plates and recycle them when I grew up. Sadly it doesn't work that way... Paper plates cost to much.

All housework should be banned. It's heinous. And yet I LOVE it when things are picked up and clean. A catch 22. :)
